As a member agency of Daily Bread Food Bank, we provide free food to anyone who needs support – everyone is welcome, no matter where you live in Toronto! We operate a market-style program, allowing you to select the items that best suit your needs.
Along with food, we also offer personal care products, baby goods and pet supplies when available.

Free Coffee, Tea & Snacks: Once you arrive, you will be given a number and can enter our indoor waiting area complete with free coffee, tea, snacks and more! Once your number is called you can then proceed to the food bank for your groceries.
Shopping Style: You’ll walk through our market and let our volunteers know what you need. They will gather and hand your items to you from behind their counter.
Bags & Carts: Please bring reusable bags, a folding cart, or a backpack to carry your groceries home. Extra bags are usually available if you forget yours, and volunteers are always on hand to help gather your items or carry heavier loads.
FAQ
When you register through the Daily Bread portal, please list everyone who lives with you. This ensures we provide the right amount of food for your home when you visit Nourish. There is no limit on how many people you can receive food for, as long as you all reside together. Registering in person on market day? Just bring government ID for yourself and each person who lives with you.
Our food bank is open every Wednesday from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. To ensure we can serve as many community members as possible, clients are asked to choose either the morning or afternoon slot for their weekly shop. Daily Bread clients may access food bank services once per week.
Food bank attendance varies each week. We recommend arriving 15 minutes before doors open, when we hand out numbers to determine entry order. At 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, everyone with a number is invited into our waiting area for free coffee, tea, and snacks.
We always want to ensure that the dietary needs of our clients are being met. When you arrive inside, you will be able to select food items that align with any dietary needs in your household. While our supply varies week to week, we always try to have halal, dairy free, meat alternative, and gluten free products available.
